Success Road Map --prt3

After all these time have you figured out what exactly that you want?
Knowing what you want is just the beginning of everything.
The thing now is to know what you need to reach what you want.
Remember this
If you do what you always have done, you will always get what you have always gotten.

Using the most common item money as an illustration.

Let's say that you wanted more money.
You know you wanted more.
The issue now is how do you get some extra income.
There's thousands and millions way to earn/get extra income.
If you do not have extra income in your life right now, then you really need to devise and execute a plan that will get you extra income.
For example for that you are a programmer.
The most likely method that programmers will do to get extra income is to do freelance programming for others.
You will go round finding projects, writing the programs and delivering to your clients to earn a income.

How much can you make by doing it this way?
Let's say you spent an additional 8 hrs on your freelancing and 8hrs on your full time job.
And you are able to make an additional 3K this way.
Sound good?

But think of what you have to forsake.
Are you able to work 16 hrs everyday ?
But how long can you continue to earn this way?
5yrs? 10yrs? 20yrs?
Won't your health deteriorate?
This is a good method to earn some money for urgent use say a month or two.
But to earn a constant income this way?
Imagine what you would have to lose?
You will have less time for your family, friends and love one.
You will have less time for your own entertainment.
Even if you are able to earn using this method, are you able to buy the bond with your family that have weaken due to you doing freelancing?
Are you able to buy back the time that you have lost with your friends?
Most likely your circle of friends will get smaller.

Is that what you want?
Have money but no time to spend or anyone to share with?

Remember I talked about faith in my previous blog?

What if you have faith that you can write programs that others will need and henceforth wants.

Would you have done it differently?
Would you had started a website. (Domain these are quite affordable)
Post your program there for others to use as shareware (maybe even freeware).

Because others will want to have the program that you write and will be willing to pay you.
If they don't, you can even give them for free. As they wants to use your programs but are unwilling to pay. You can earn by advertising on your website. Advertisers will be more than willing to pay you if you can get good landing, hits and rebound figures with your website.

You would still be doing the same thing ( writing programs ) but you would have other streams of income.
You would have,
1) Constant income from advertisers
2) Selling of your programs (which you planned to do anyway)
3) Subscriptions from people who are willing to pay a little bit for more advance programs or updates whatever service that you can provide.
and much much more. Your brain is the limit.

I have illustrated 2 ways that 2 different person might have chosen to take although they might have the same goal. Which is to earn additional income.

But which way do you think is a better way?
Well think it this way.
I don't know who is the best programmer.
But I know who makes the most out of programming.
It's the person that writes the first version of MS-Dos.
Would he be who he is now if he had sold his source to IBM.
Guess most of you would know who he is.
Anyway read about him here if you are interested..

So success is not a matter of chances, it is a matter of choices.

What you would do to have what you want is a CHOICE
What you would do when you meet with problems is a CHOICE.
What you would do to overcome the problem is a CHOICE.

But most importantly is to execute your plan daily.
Be consistent and persistent to reach your goal.

If you knew that what you did today would change the way you feel tomorrow.
Would you act differently?
What's your choice?

If u like what u read....
Please

to keep me motivated and keep me going on thanks.
